Vegan Dark Chocolate Truffles Recipe

If you are like me and have lots of leftover Easter chocolate and want to find a way to use it then this recipe is perfect for you! Trust me I’m not that amazing in the kitchen, but I was able to make these delicious vegan dark chocolate truffles in less than 40 minutes, and 30 minutes of that time you are just waiting around for the mixture to firm up! You can always mix it up and add normal milk chocolate if you please, but to keep it vegan I’ve used dark chocolate which I personally think is delicious. And with just 4 ingredients these truffles are the perfect sweet treat that you know you can indulge in.

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Dark Chocolate

1 small avocado

Cacao Powder

A Sprinkle of Himalayan Sea Salt

Firstly, add your avocado and your Himalayan sea salt to your food processor a pulse until its smooth and combined.

Melt your dark chocolate in a microwave – don’t forget to use a microwave-safe container – for 30 seconds each time until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate into your food processor and pulse until it is fully combined, ensuring you cant see any avocado. You might need to go in and mix it around yourself here.

Put your mixture into the fridge for around 30 minutes to firm up. Once it’s firmed, remove from the fridge and form your balls! Take about a tablespoon and roll into a ball about 1 inch, my mixture made 6 balls.

Fill a shallow dish with cacao powder and roll the truffle balls until fully coated. Place on baking paper and store in the fridge until ready to eat!
